Miya: Freelance IT Journalist
Sublime PR: What magazines/blogs do you write for?
Miya: I'm editor of Retail Technology magazine www.retailtechnology.co.uk/home
Sublime PR: What is your PR pet peeve?
Miya: PRs that don't research a publication first before pitching to it.
Sublime PR: Do you prefer a phone pitch from PRs or an email?
Miya: Email is preferred.
Sublime PR: How many emails and/or phone calls do you receive from PRs per day?
Miya: About 150 emails and between five and ten phone calls.
Sublime PR: How do you read the news?
Miya: I watch the news on TV and read it online too.
Sublime PR: What newspapers/magazines do you read?
Miya: Retail industry magazines and tech websites - all of the usual suspects!
Sublime PR: Are you a tweeter and can PRs contact you via Twitter?
Miya: I tweet @mazzaknights but I prefer email pitches to tweets and I curate the Retail Technology Groupon LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=4315690&trk=hb_side_g)
Sublime PR: What is your top tip for PRs or businesses wanting to get coverage?
Miya: Satisfied customers are a company's best asset.
Sublime PR: What is reallly grabbing your attention in the industry at the moment?
Miya: Mobile technology development is the most exciting and influential space in IT at the moment.
Sublime PR: How important is a good image/video for a news story?
Miya: Having multimedia content on offer to support a news story is good.
Sublime PR: What are your passions, interests and hobbies?
Miya: I'm a keen, but very amateur photographer.
